David Viviano, MD, MS, is the Medical Director of The Dove House, a healing and wellness recovery center in Troy, Michigan.
Dr. Viviano graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1992 and received his Master’s degree in Sports Medicine from the Rackham School of Graduate Studies, University of Michigan, in 1986. He completed his surgical internship at the University of Michigan Hospital in 1993 and his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in 1998.
Dr. Viviano is a general Orthopaedic Surgeon who has specialized in non-operative and surgical management of arthritis, sports injuries, and fractures in children and adults. He has had an affiliation as an Orthopaedic Surgeon with the Detroit Medical Center since 1998.
As a yoga instructor since 2009, he has an integrative approach to health, illness, and preventive medicine which is unique within a surgical field. He recognizes the importance of the union of mind/body/spirit in a person’s well-being.
